"Hi, my name is Alta. I'm a Norwegian Elkhound and I'm almost 10 years old. I've been so lucky. My family loves me so much they send me to TDCC whenever they are away from home. TDCC is so cool. Mostly I like that fact that everyone loves me, even though I am shy, a little skittish, and bark a lot. When I'm there, I get to run and play with other dogs almost all day long. One day I even jumped in their pool, but then I remembered I didn't like water. My sister Senja, who is in puppy heaven now, and I have been going to TDCC since they opened. I get lots of belly rubs, some nice ear rubbin' and some tasty treats. They are the best!"

Colby
We choose Top Dog because of the family like atmosphere and the fact that the staff is with the dogs 15 hours each day. Colby always comes home happy and well cared for. They even pick up and deliver. Colby loves Top Dog and jumps into Jean’s car when she comes to pick her up. Colby is now thirteen, and is quite lame due to advanced hip dysplasia. She needs help getting around and a lot of TLC. We spoke with Jean and she assured us they can care for Colby’s special needs . . . and they do. They continue to care for and encourage her in a way we are very thankful for. As long as Colby is still with us we know we have friends at Top Dog that keep her safe and happy when we can’t be with her. They treat her like a member of their own family.

Norman
Let me try to condense why we love Top Dog for Norman. First of all, Norman loves to be there and usually doesn't want to come home with us when we pick him up. For me, that means that he is happy, has plenty of play time and most of all, is loved by the staff. It is clearly evident the staff is there because they love the dogs, and this is not just a job. We so enjoy the "report cards" that we receive when we pick up Norman. It gives us a short briefing on all of Norman's daily activities, especially the outside time with friends. He cannot wait until the swimming pool opens for the season. As far as we are concerned there is no other place for Norman than Top Dog. Thanks Top Dog.

Alice & Pedro
We love Top Dog because when we are having fun on our vacation we know that Alice and Pedro are having just as much fun on their vacation at Top Dog! They get to play ball for hours and then relax in a clean and beautiful place! Wait a minute . . . maybe Alice and Pedro are having more fun on their vacation than we are!

Tiepolo
Top Dog is the closest place to heaven for Tiepolo on this earth! It is such a joy for us to know he is loved when we travel. When we had to be out of the country for two months, we missed him so much, but being able to phone in and learn he was having such a great time, made the time fly. We recommend Top Dog to everyone!

Solo & Bentley
Solo and Bentley love Top Dog Country Club because they get to meet new friends, soak up the sunshine and get lots of love from the staff (all without having to be on lease). When we say "Top Dog", they wag their tails and run toward the door ready to go. I trust that my boys are well taken care of and I can relax on my vacation or business trip.

Ruby, Stella & Jamis
When we drop off Stella, Ruby and Jamis at Top Dog, we always rest assured that they will have a wonderful vacation with the best of care and lots of good exercise. And we will do the same because we are comfortable that our dogs are in good hands.

Abby
The staff treats Abby as if she was their own. Everyone at Top Dog has a genuine love for dogs. When we get to the gravel road on the way to Top Dog, Abby knows where we are and starts trying to get out of the car;she is so anxious to get there and play with her friends and staff. If we tell Abby the night before that she is going to Top Dog, she will get up at 4AM instead of her usual 6AM, so we no longer tell her until the actual day that she is going, then she sits patiently by the back door waiting to go :-)

Brett & Sparky LOVE to come to Top Dog and see their extended family in a place where they are loved and can be the dogs they were meant to be! Travel was nearly impossible because of a “very attached dog”, but with Top Dog we now leave with peace of mind and enjoy our time away knowing Sparky and Brett are safe, cared for and adored. Teddy Bear
Our favorite thing about Top Dog is when we drop Teddy Bear off at the start of a vacation, he LEAPS out of the car, runs to the front door and barks because he is so anxious to come in and play. The staff greets him with open arms. He doesn’t even stop to say goodbye. This puts us at ease because we know that he will be happy and receive great care.

"We LOVE Top Dog Country Club for many GREAT reasons... great friends, great activities, and great desserts!! In face, we love spending time at Top Dog so much, that when mom and dad start packing suitcases, we perform a happy dance and hang out by the garage door so that we don't miss our chance to go!" Del and I love Top Dog because the dogs can't wait to get there (they hardly even remember to say good-bye at the door, they're so excited!), and while they are very happy to see us when we return, we think it might just be so they can get home to sleep in their own beds ... they are so happily tired that they nap for days afterwards. We never worry about a single thing and can relax and enjoy our own vacation. We know that Top Dog will easily handle any of the millions of things that can happen in the daily life of a dog, and will make sure everyone eats, gets the appropriate medications, gets active play time, and lots of loving care.

My girlfriends at Top Dog taught me to jump in the pool and swim (Hudson).There is nothing better than spending the day swimming and chasing tennis balls: what more can a Golden Retriever ask for? “When mom and dad pack their suitcases . . . we love it! That means we’re going to Top Dog. We start whining with excitement in the car along the way. When we arrive, we run through the front doors, forget to say goodbye to mom and dad, and run right to the play yards. Where else do they throw balls six hours a day for you? Winter is great because we can run all day and never get hot, but Summer is the best because the pool is open. The worst part is when they give us a bath. Then we know we are going home. It’s nice to be home, but we sure have fun at Top Dog.”

Maddy
It only took one phone call for us to know that top dog country club was going to be the place for us. Maddy, our 15 month old German Shepherd/Husky, awoke one morning to find she had lost her back leg mobility. We were frightened and uncertain what the diagnosis would be. While we awaited test results from the University of Minnesota neurology department, we needed a warm, friendly, and accommodating environment to help us take care of Maddy during our workweek hours. We found Top Dog Country Club by searching the internet for a place that would help accommodate her special needs. When we called, we were informed that her special needs would not be a problem at all. In fact, they would make sure she got to play with the other dogs outside and even get her some low impact exercise in the pool. We decided to visit first and take a tour with Maddy. It was immediately clear what a great facility they have for dogs to play outside, a warm environment unlike normal kenneling, and even more amazing staff members who are so personable. Even more, we found there was another dog (black lab with hip dysplasia) in a similar situation to Maddy who was already being cared for by Top Dog Country Club.
When we brought Maddy in the first day, we had to use a sling to support her back legs when walking. After day one, we picked her up and immediately noticed she was stronger and more confident in her movements. Each day we took her to Top Dog we were amazed to see her progress when we picked her up. After just one week of playing and swimming at Top Dog, we are extremely happy to say that Maddy has regained almost full mobility of her back legs. She is even running again! (We have recently found out her loss of mobility was due to a bad reaction to her vaccinations in which her immune system created antibodies that attacked her central nervous system). Each day she comes home stronger than the last and always with a big smile. We are forever thankful to top dog country club for their amazing services, especially in our time of need. We look forward to utilizing their overnight stays in the future when we go on vacation and always know we are leaving her in good hands.
